SUMMARY:1620 or 1619?
DESCRIPTION:In this workshop, historian and attorney John Eidsmoe examines the popular claims that the foundations of America are in the sin of slavery – as represented in 1619 in Virginia – and as such there is no real Christian basis for our nation. Attorney Eidsmoe will contrast this with the 1620 Pilgrims (who came 400 years ago) and the foundations they laid that created a nation respecting religious and civil liberty. The question of 1619 or 1620 is one parents, students, and all Americans must grapple with in our culture today.\n
