A Re-Enactment of Patrick Henry’s “Give Me Liberty of Give Me Death” Speech
Dr. Paul Jehle will be giving an overview of the life of Patrick Henry on Sunday night, March 23, 2025 at 6:30pm EST. It will set the stage for Josh Erber’s re-enactment of Patrick Henry’s inspirational speech that ignited the passions of George Washington and Thomas Jefferson, among other Virginians, to stand for liberty.
Josh Erber grew up in a family that had a love for history, where he developed a passion for portraying Patrick Henry. Inspired by Henry’s boldness, clear Christian faith, and the timeless principles communicated in his “Liberty or Death” speech, Josh has been reenacting this speech across the country for the last 25 years. Josh currently resides on the eastern plains of Colorado, with his wife and 5 children. They are actively involved in their local church as well as in the operation of an event audio/visual company that they run as a family.
In costume as well, Josh Erber will give Patrick Henry’s “Give me liberty” speech on the 250th anniversary of the original one at St. John’s Church!
