Pilgrim Church Service Reenactment
A group of 51 Pilgrims representing the survivors of the first winter will step off from the Mayflower Society House at 2:00 PM to the beat of a drum. They will then proceed to Forefathers Monument, where a re-enactment of a Pilgrim Church Service will take place using the order of worship that was used in 1612 in Leyden and in Robinson’s Farewell Sermon of 1620!

Cheryl Doherty has been an historian of pilgrim history for decades. She is also a board member of the Plymouth Rock Foundation. Cheryl has directed the Pilgrim Progress, which began in 1921 in the Town of Plymouth, for over three decades and is a tireless supporter of all of the historic societies that have preserved pilgrim history.

Dr. Paul Jehle serves as President of Plymouth Rock Foundation (where he has been a board member since 1988) and Senior Pastor of The New Testament Church of Cedarville in the town of Plymouth (where he has served since 1975). Paul has remained active in serving the town of Plymouth in various ways as well as continuing to be active as a member of several historic societies.

Leo has been giving historical tours and lectures dressed in Pilgrim costume for the past 19 years. He is a champion of our nation’s founding principles displayed in the National Monument to the Forefathers in Plymouth. Known as a master story-teller, those who have taken his tour have repeatedly, year after year, made him the #1 walking guide in Plymouth!
